UNAP Run

An acquisition currently in process may be stopped, or a new acquisition may be started from this page. This page also provides the means to upload a new configuration file.

Status

Operational Mode

The Operational Mode is set to either Continuous or Single. Continuous means a new measurement is started automatically when the previous measurement is completed. The Single mode means only one measurement is taken; the UNAP instrument then stops and waits for external instructions (e.g., from DAS or this web page) to command another measurement.
Approximate Time... The Approximate Time Remaining on Current Acquisition value displayed is the time remaining on the current acquisition when the page was initially displayed. The value displayed will count down using a timer on the browser computer--not directly from the UNAP instrument. The difference between the UNAP instrument and this counter will not be more than a fraction of a second.
When the counter reaches zero and the mode is Continuous, the counter will reset to the acquisition duration and repeat counting down. If the UNAP instrument is in Single Acquisition mode, the counter will count down to zero, the counter will stay at zero, and the word STOPPED will be displayed, along with a message near the bottom of the web page.

Manual Commands

Stop Acquisition

Clicking the Stop Acquisition in Progress button will immediately send a message to the UNAP instrument to stop an acquisition in progress. If the UNAP instrument is not currently acquiring new data, this signal is ignored and has no effect.

Start New Acquisition

Clicking the Start New Acquisition button will cause the UNAP instrument to begin a new acquisition. If the UNAP is configured for Single Acquisition, then only one acquisition will be accomplished. If the UNAP is configured for Continuous Acquisition, the process of taking multiple acquisitions will begin when this button is clicked. This button sends a signal to the UNAP instrument that is ignored if the UNAP is currently in the process of acquiring data.

Send a New Configuration File

A new configuration file may be sent to the UNAP instrument using the Send a New Configuration File control. The file must be authenticated with a digital signature. The digital signature will be validated before the contents of the file are applied to the UNAP instrument. Any attempt to send an invalid (not authenticated file, failed verification, or not valid file contents) file will be logged.
